Ravindra Thatte

Ravindra Thatte is the Owner and Director of Eco Agro Services, also known as Eco Agro Group, a Pune-based supplier of crop nutrients, biostimulants and hi-tech farm equipment, located at Bhavan Road, Kothrud. He is the author of the Eco Agro Journal, a long-running series of numbered articles written mainly in Marathi for farmers and agri-input professionals.

His writing covers plant nutrients, soil salinity and the salt index of fertilizers, organic carbon, ion exchange, fertigation and the limits of chemical farming. On LinkedIn, where he has about 2,875 followers, he also publishes technical explainers, such as the chloride content of potassium sources like MOP, and examines the Fertiliser Control Order (FCO) from the farmer's side. He asks, for example, whether the product specifications really protect farmers.

Through the Eco Agro Journal he aims to give growers clear, evidence-based guidance so they can choose inputs by their actual nutrient content and value.
